This being a landmark publication for telepathy, hypnotism, dreams, hallucinations, witches, and ghosts; published by the Society for Psychical Research which was founded only four years prior. Three-quarter morocco over blue cloth boards. Raised bands in six compartments; gilt stamping and fillets on spine, rubbed at the edges. Marbled endpapers with slight residue tear to the front free endpaper of volume 1; foxing on fore-edge. Text is clean with minor foxing. Inscribed on fly leaf in both volumes by "David M.
